Hartmann Hydrofilm 10*12.5cm 100pcs 685758

Sterile transparent surgical-grade film dressing — 100-piece bulk pack for post-operative wound cover, IV cannula fixation, and primary-healing wound protection.

- PAUL HARTMANN AG — German medical-supplies company since 1818
- Hartmann is a clinical-grade brand: same plasters and dressings used in European hospitals are sold to consumers
- Made and packaged to medical-device standards

Benefits:
- Semi-permeable polyurethane film with skin-friendly adhesive
- Completely transparent — wound can be inspected without removing the dressing
- Waterproof: skin can shower with the dressing in place
- Breathable: allows water vapour and gases to pass freely (no moisture build-up)
- Ultra-thin film for high wear comfort and low profile
- Can be worn for several days at a time
- 10 × 12.5 cm size suits surgical wounds, IV sites, post-op incisions
- 100-piece bulk box — for clinic, hospital, or repeat home use on post-op and minor primary-healing wounds

- Post-operative dressings for surgical wounds
- Cover for non-exudating or slightly-exuding primary-healing wounds
- Protection against bacterial penetration, contamination, and mechanical irritation
- IV cannula and central-line site fixation
- Sealing element in negative-pressure wound therapy
- Secondary cover over an absorbent dressing when extended fixation is needed (not as a primary dressing on the chronic wound itself)

How to Use:
Clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin (alcohol or chlorhexidine wipe is typical). Open the sterile pouch, peel the backing, position the film over the wound with about 2 cm of skin contact on each side, and smooth from the centre outwards to remove air bubbles. Wear for up to 5 days as conditions allow.

Precautions:
- Sterile single-use product — do not use if the package is damaged or expired
- For non-exudating wounds — switch to Hydrofilm Plus (with absorbent pad) for slightly-exuding wounds
- Stop and consult a doctor if signs of infection appear (increased redness, warmth, pus, fever)
- Do not stretch the film during application — it can lift the edges and break the seal

Q&A:
Q: Why a transparent dressing?
A: You can inspect the wound for redness, swelling, or signs of infection without removing the dressing — which keeps the wound undisturbed and reduces risk of contamination during checks. Critical for post-surgical care and IV sites.

Q: How is it different from a regular plaster?
A: Hydrofilm is a thin polyurethane film, not a fabric or plastic strip. It's waterproof + breathable + transparent + sterile. It's used in hospitals on surgical wounds and as an IV-site cover where you need both protection and visibility.

Q: How long can it stay on?
A: Several days, depending on wound state. For non-exudating clean wounds, 3-5 days is typical. Replace if the dressing lifts at the edges, becomes cloudy, or if signs of infection appear.
