Johnsons O.B.Tampons Mix 16's

Applicator-free tampons from Johnson's o.b. — mixed absorbencies for the whole cycle.

Johnson's o.b. (originally Johnson & Johnson, now owned by Kenvue) is a leading German tampon brand. 'Applicator-free' means inserted with the finger directly — smaller pack, less plastic waste, more eco-friendly than applicator tampons. The Mix box contains different absorbencies: Mini (light flow), Normal (regular), Super (heavy) — providing options for different days of the cycle.

Benefits:
- Internal menstrual protection during regular activities
- Swimming, sports, exercise (no visible pad bulge)
- Heavy flow days (Super absorbency)
- Travel-friendly (small/discreet)
- Eco-conscious users (less waste than applicator tampons)

How to Use:
Wash hands. Find a comfortable position (sitting, squatting, or one leg up). Hold the tampon with the string hanging out, point upward and at a slight angle (toward the lower back). Push gently into the vagina with finger. Once correctly placed (deep inside), it should NOT be felt. Change every 4-6 hours, or sooner if needed. Use a different absorbency for heavier/lighter days.

Precautions:
- TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME (TSS) is rare but real — change every 4-6 hours, NEVER leave in >8 hours, NEVER overnight if you can pad instead
- Use the LOWEST absorbency for your flow — don't use Super if Normal is enough
- If you experience: fever >38.5°C, sudden rash, vomiting, severe muscle aches while wearing — REMOVE TAMPON and seek emergency care (TSS symptoms)
- Don't use immediately after pregnancy — wait until cleared by doctor
- Some women find applicator-free harder to use initially — practice or try applicator versions

Q&A:
Q: Applicator-free vs with applicator?
A: Applicator-free (this) — smaller pack, less plastic waste, slightly more skill required (inserted with finger). With applicator — easier insertion, bulkier pack, more plastic waste. Many women start with applicator and switch to applicator-free over time.

Q: How do I know which absorbency to use?
A: Use the LIGHTEST you can comfortably wear for 4 hours. If a Mini lasts 4 hours, use Mini. If you saturate it in 1-2 hours, upgrade to Normal or Super. Lower absorbency = less TSS risk.

Q: Can a virgin/young girl use tampons?
A: Anatomically yes (most virgins have a hymen with sufficient opening for menstrual flow and tampons). However, cultural/religious considerations vary. If physically uncomfortable initially, use Mini absorbency and lots of lubrication. If religious/cultural concerns, pads may be preferred.
