Hartman Grassolind 7.5*10Cm 10 Pcs 82837

Hartmann Grassolind — neutral vaseline-impregnated gauze for non-sticking wound dressings. 7.5 x 10 cm, 10 pieces per box.

- PAUL HARTMANN AG (Germany) — surgical supplies since 1818
- Grassolind is the German hospital standard for non-adherent wound contact layers
- Neutral (non-medicated) vaseline base — supports moist wound healing

Benefits:
- Cotton gauze impregnated with neutral white vaseline
- Will NOT stick to the wound — easy painless removal at dressing changes
- Maintains a moist wound environment that supports faster, less-scarring healing
- Hypoallergenic — no medication, dye, or fragrance
- Sterile, individually wrapped
- Box of 10 dressings

- Burns (1st and 2nd degree) — Grassolind is the European standard for burn dressings
- Skin-graft donor sites and recipient sites
- Abrasions, lacerations, and chronic wounds in the granulation phase
- Post-surgical wounds where regular gauze would stick
- Diabetic foot ulcers (under doctor supervision)

Main Ingredients:
White Vaseline: Acts as a barrier to moisture loss, keeping the wound hydrated and preventing scabbing
Fatty Acid Diglycerol Esters of Carbonate and Dicarbonate: Provides a smooth, protective layer that enhances the ointment's effectiveness without irritating the skin
Synthetic Wax: Contributes to the consistency and stability of the ointment mass, ensuring it adheres well to the gauze while maintaining its protective properties

How to Use:
Clean the wound with sterile saline or appropriate cleanser. Open the sterile pouch and place the Grassolind dressing directly over the wound — vaseline-side down, no need to flip. Cover with sterile gauze pads on top, then secure with a bandage roll or medical tape. Change every 1-3 days depending on wound exudate.

Precautions:
- For external use only
- Do not use if the package is damaged or expired (sterility lost)
- Stop and consult a doctor if signs of infection appear (increased redness, warmth, pus, fever)
- For deep, heavily-exuding, or infected wounds, see a wound-care specialist
- Single use — discard after removing
- For burns covering more than the size of the patient's palm, seek emergency care

Q&A:
Q: Why does it not stick to the wound?
A: The vaseline impregnation creates a fatty barrier between the gauze fibres and the wound bed. Regular gauze fibres adhere to the wound's protein-rich exudate as it dries — Grassolind doesn't, because the fibres are coated with vaseline. Removal is painless and doesn't disturb new tissue.

Q: Is it really good for burns?
A: Yes — Grassolind is one of the most-prescribed burn dressings in Europe. The non-stick property is critical for burns because regular gauze ripping off granulating burn tissue is excruciating and can re-injure the wound. For 1st and 2nd degree burns, this is what most German doctors prescribe.

Q: How often do I change it?
A: Every 1-3 days depending on wound state. The vaseline keeps the wound moist for longer than dry gauze, so dressings can stay on longer. Change sooner if blood-strike-through or saturated exudate appears.
