Movalax 24 Tablets

Gentle plant-based laxative — magnesium + senna + apricot + fennel from Wellvalens.

Movalax tablets are Wellvalens' plant-based gentle laxative. Each tablet contains: Magnesium 250mg (osmotic — draws water into the gut), Senna leaf extract 75mg (mild stimulant — improves bowel contractions), Apricot extract 170mg (fibre + natural fruit acids), Fennel extract 10mg (carminative — reduces bloating). Designed for occasional constipation relief in adults.

Benefits:
- Occasional constipation (less than 3 bowel movements per week)
- Travel-related constipation
- Constipation from low-fibre diet
- Mild post-procedure constipation (after colonoscopy prep)
- Bloating with constipation

How to Use:
1 tablet daily with a full glass of water (200mL), preferably at bedtime. Effect typically within 6-12 hours. Pair with adequate water (1.5-2L daily) and dietary fibre. Don't exceed 1 week of continuous use without doctor's advice.

Precautions:
- Pregnancy/breastfeeding — avoid (senna can stimulate uterus)
- Children under 12 — not recommended
- Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's, ulcerative colitis) — avoid stimulant laxatives
- Long-term laxative use can cause dependency — laxative bowel; use only for occasional constipation
- Severe abdominal pain, blood in stool, persistent symptoms — see doctor
- Senna can cause harmless yellow-brown urine

Q&A:
Q: Plant-based vs synthetic laxatives — what's the advantage?
A: Plant-based (Movalax) is generally GENTLER — multi-mechanism (osmotic + mild stimulant + fibre) reduces cramping vs single-mechanism synthetics. Suitable for first-line occasional use. For chronic constipation, see a doctor — different treatment approaches may be appropriate.

Q: How quickly does it work?
A: 6-12 hours typical. Take at bedtime for morning bowel movement. If you take it morning, expect results that evening or next morning.

Q: Can I take it daily long-term?
A: NO — designed for occasional use. Daily senna for >1 week can cause electrolyte imbalances and laxative-dependent bowel function. For chronic constipation, lifestyle (fibre, water, exercise) is first; if more help is needed, ask your doctor about non-stimulant options.
