Domotherm Rapid Digital Thermometer

A fever thermometer for the whole family, from the German medical device maker UEBE Medical. The tip is soft and bends, so it is gentle to use - on babies too - and the thermometer beeps as soon as the reading settles.

• Use it three ways: in the mouth, under the arm, or rectally.
• Beeps when the reading settles, with a separate fever alarm from 37.5 °C up.
• Reads 32.00 to 42.99 °C, accurate to ±0.1 °C, shown to two decimals.
• Remembers your last reading, so you can see if the fever is rising.
• Switches itself off on its own, and runs on an ordinary LR41 button cell.
• Water-resistant: wipe it clean, or soak it in disinfectant for up to 30 minutes.

How to use

Press the button and wait for the short self-check, then put the tip in place and leave it there: at least 30 seconds rectally, 60 seconds in the mouth, or 3 minutes under the arm. In the mouth and under the arm, wait the full time even after it beeps - that is when the reading is right.

Care and safety

Clean it before and after every use with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol diluted with water, or cool soapy water. Never boil it or put it in a steam steriliser. Do not let children use it unsupervised - it contains small parts, including the button battery, that a child could swallow - and do not drop it. Always see a doctor if the reading shows a high fever.
